This diverse collection crosses generations of several branches of a long-time Montana family. The sale features items from the Algard and Burton estates, with Murfitt family collectibles. Included are books as well as ephemera including war ration stamps, postcards, Montana brochures and 60s Las Vegas show programs. Stars of the sale are a buffalo skull excavated from the Sun River some 70 years ago and two primitive, wall-hanger, civil war-era battlefield rifles.

There’s a 1966 Buick Wildcat project car in running condition with a nail head engine and the jazzy original interior. Look for a bargain on the Pro Form cross trainer, including booklet.

Bev Doolittle and early-run Maxfield Parrish prints, along with some Russell prints will be sold. Broadwater Hotel collectibles include silver plate spoons in very good condition, the Shorty Shope Broadwater print and an historical brochure by Nedra Bayne. For collectors, we offer two mint 1948 Montana license plates and several small tins including a Lucky Strike, Lone Ranger First Aid and biscuit tins.

Hundreds of retro, vintage and shell buttons are offered by the bag, plus dozens of napkins, and hankies, as well as a small selection of tablecloths. Sparkly sets of pins and clip earrings and other jewelry in an array of colors, plus Avon sachet and perfume bottles and a complete vintage dressing table set. Vintage and contemporary furniture includes a drop-leaf table, a Country French table with three leaves and six chairs; an excellent vintage Grand Rapids dumb waiter table.

Look for: two beautiful men’s bowler hats and a top-hat box; retro and vintage clothing and umbrellas; dozens of Avon bottles, including some hard-to-find from the 60s in their original boxes: an antique scale; mid-century pilsners, barware, casino ashtrays; complete for 10 + Occupied Japan “Aladdin” china set; kitchen and household. Kitschy odds and ends include a bowling pin, old tin tri-wing toy airplane, many harmonicas; deer bronze; Apollo moon launch tumblers; poker chips. Lots of interesting stuff in this small sale. No early sales.

Take McHugh north of Custer, watch for signs.
