Still looking for a perfect Christmas present? Look no further. Shop the living estate sale Dec. 17-19, 9:30 to 2, at 1920 Broadway, which features the eclectic collections and treasures of Harry Israel and Mary Douglas.

Mary Douglas and Harry Israel filled their lives with activities and causes that interest them. They are philanthropists and life-long learners. Their home is filled with books and objects reflecting their myriad interests and years of service. Harry and Mary are full participants in Montana life. As Harry said in an Independent Record interview in 2016: “Wherever you are, be a part of it.” As they downsize now, the souvenirs of their rich, full lives are offered in this sale.

You’ll find beautiful late 19th Century step-back cupboard and marble top dresser, antique writing desk, vintage quilts and Native American Star Quilts, Pendleton blanket.

Also, Jenny Lind spool bed, vintage dressers and twin beds, great Orvis fishing gear, ski equipment, bike and camping gear, hundreds of books and CDs, prehistoric Native American tools and points, fossils, dinosaur bones, top-line men’s clothing, including Harris Tweed jackets, women’s clothing. Antique scientific instruments, treadle and modern sewing machines, Native American art, sculptures, art glass, original art, bookcases, gate leg dining tables, ice cream chairs, whimsical folk art bench of tortoise and hare.

Framed museum art reproductions of classics like “The Three Graces” and the Pieta face of Mary, Native American hand-painted dancing shawls, costume jewelry and jewelry cabinet, Seiko watches, old tea cart, rocking love seat, wicker sofa, antique occasional tables, and much more.

The house space is small, so please wear masks. We’ll need to regulate occupancy for social distancing. We also can accommodate appointments after 2:00pm.
