Lynda & Stan Lynde: Complete Living Estate Sale

THIS SALE HAS CLOSED. We present it here as a record of our services. In 1957, readers of the Sunday comics were introduced to characters with a distinctly western flavor, and Montanans were especially proud that the creator of Rick O’Shay was one of our own.

Stan Lynde created two acclaimed, nationally-syndicated cartoon strips and published nine novels set in Montana Territory, including eight “Merlin Fanshaw” books. He has received numerous honors and awards.

Lynda Lynde also has had a busy, varied life. She owned a retail store, ran Cottonwood Publishing and was broker/owner of Lynda Lynde Realty. Lynda honed her skills as a photographer and designed personal homes in several Montana communities. She and Stan also supported countless community projects.

Now the Lyndes embark on another grand adventure — this one to simplify their lives and give them more creative freedom in Ecuador.

We are pleased to help the Lyndes with the downsizing part of their plan. On November 17 and 18, a most original living estate sale will offer a large collection of highest quality home furnishings, including an Appleton Furniture French Country living room suite; a nearly-new Maytag French-door refrigerator; top of the line LG washer and dryer in cobalt blue, complete with pedestals; beds, dressers, room screen; 9 piece antique oak dining set; office furnishings, large flat screen TV and exercise equipment. Lynda’s interior design skills are reflected in contemporary wicker sunroom furniture (like new) and decorative accessories.

We will sell rooms full of beautiful men’s and women’s clothing, including Western and professional wear, fine Irish and Pendelton woolens. A large collection of costume jewelry includes a shell cameo. Offered at bargain prices is an author’s book collection which includes many hard-to-find Montana books; original art, prints and framed Western Rendezvous posters.

Unique to this sale is a last-chance offering of Rick O’Shay, Hipshot, Latigo and other Lynde characters art, stationery, posters and souvenirs. Also offered is a canvas teepee with a hand painted liner and an unusual table made from a vintage hay rake wheel.

Other affordable, useful items offered as we empty the house include a snow blower, tools, cookware, glassware, cook books, cds, and bookshelves.
